Horizons Hampton Roads is an independent program and not a part of either the public school systems, Cape Henry or Norfolk Collegiate Schools.
As a partner with Horizons Hampton Roads, Cape Henry Collegiate School provides the place for summer sessions each year AND a wealth of expertise and administrative help. Located on a 30-acre campus near the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Henry Collegiate School serves more than 1,000 students from all of Hampton Roads. Established in 1924 as The Everett School, Cape Henry Collegiate School is a Pre-kindergarten through Twelfth Grade, college-preparatory, co-educational, independent day school. It is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and the Virginia Board of Education. The academically challenging curriculum is supported by a strong honor code. There is a 10:1 student:teacher ratio. The combination prepares the student for college study, supports self-esteem, and creates a love of learning. Advanced Placement and Honors classes are available in the Upper School. There is a dress code and a community service requirement. Horizons Hampton Roads policies for families can be found in our Family Handbook. More information about the Norfolk Horizons program can be found in the Family Information Booklet. Plan for attending Horizons! See our calendar. Application and enrolment deadlines are important! Be sure you know what they are!
